🎶 Welcome to Fantasia School of Music!
We warmly welcome all children and adults who are excited to start their musical journey and committed to achieving their goals—whether it's learning a new instrument, preparing for exams, or simply enjoying music.
At Fantasia School of Music, we value clear communication and an open, respectful approach with every student. We encourage families to reach out, ask questions, and share feedback.
By following our Terms & Conditions, we build strong relationships and create a smooth, positive learning environment where music education can thrive.
Lessons
🗓 First Lesson & Scheduling
Once enrollment is complete, students will be informed of their first lesson's date and time via phone, email, or in person. Fantasia School of Music (FSM) will aim to confirm lesson details by email when possible, though other forms of confirmation may be considered sufficient.
Students are expected to attend one lesson per week, either online or in person. More frequent lessons are available and encouraged, and can be arranged directly with your teacher.
📚 Materials & Preparation
Students and/or parents are responsible for purchasing books and materials. Your teacher will provide you with the necessary links or store information.
Lesson durations are available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute formats.
For students preparing for music exams, a minimum of 45 minutes per week is required.
To see meaningful progress, students should practice regularly between lessons. Your teacher will help set an appropriate daily practice routine based on your level.
👨👩👧👦 Parental Involvement
For younger students, active parental involvement is strongly encouraged. Children progress faster when parents help manage practice time and support the learning process at home.
🎓 Music Exams & Progress
We offer music exam preparation for dedicated and well-practicing students. Exams are a great way to stay motivated and receive professional, external feedback on your musical development.
💻 Online Lesson Requirements
For online students, it is essential to have all books, notebooks, and materials ready before the lesson begins.

Make-Up Lessons and Breaks
📅 Missing a Lesson?
Let us know at least 24 hours in advance (by email, text, or phone) to reschedule. Late notice = missed lesson.
🔁 Make-Up Limit:
You're allowed 4 make-up lessons per school year (Sept–May). After that, we may offer a video lesson or group event—if available.
📌 No Rescheduling Make-Ups:
Once a make-up lesson is scheduled, it can’t be moved. If you skip it, it’s forfeited.
🧑🏫 If Your Teacher Is Absent:
We’ll reschedule or arrange a substitute.
🎉 Holiday Breaks:
No lessons on major holidays: New Year’s, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
👥 Group Classes:
Missed group lessons or masterclasses won’t be credited. If the entire group is absent, we’ll do our best to provide a make-up or credit.
✈️ Going on Vacation?
Give us 2 weeks’ notice so your teacher can plan ahead.
Want to hold your spot? Pre-pay for the month you'll return. Otherwise, we may give the time to another student.
Lesson Etiquette & Studio Culture
⏰ Be on Time
Students are expected to arrive on time for lessons and events. Late arrivals may result in shortened lesson time, as we respect the schedules of all students and teachers.
😷 Health & Safety
If a student or parent is feeling unwell or showing contagious symptoms, please stay home. We recommend either switching to an online lesson or rescheduling. Your health—and the well-being of our community—is a priority!
🤝 Respect & Kindness Matter
Music lessons are about more than notes and rhythms—they’re also about communication, culture, and community. Being polite, kind, and respectful to teachers, parents, and fellow students reflects great character and makes our school a better place for everyone.
📸Photography and Filming
Fantasia School of Music (FSM) may occasionally take photos or videos during lessons, events, or performances to use for appropriate promotional purposes — such as our website or social media.
If you do not wish to be included (or your child, if under 18), please let us know in writing.
